Foster Care

Save A Life Save-A-Life rescues animals from Chatham County Animal Control.  Without our stepping in, many of these animals would have been euthanized after only three days at Animal Control.  These animals are then brought to various foster homes throughout Savannah to get them ready to be your new, loving family member.

Space is very limited in our foster care program and we are not always able to take in all the abandoned, homeless, or unwanted pets in Savannah.  To assist people who have found strays or can no longer keep their own pets, we have developed the Pet Placement Assistance Program.  For more information on how to participate in this program to find a home for your pet or stray, please click below:

Low Cost Spaying and Neutering

Save A Life To purchase a spay/neuter certificate from Save-A-Life come to PetsMart any Saturday between 11:00AM and 3:00PM (11132 Abercorn St., Savannah, GA).  The vouchers are redeemable at a number of local participating veterinary clinics listed on the vouchers.  Save-A-Life offers these discount vouchers as a public service to promote spaying and neutering.  Save-A-Life underwrites all additional veterinary charges on the spay/neuter vouchers.  We do not make money off of these vouchers.  Your donation to help our breeding control program would be greatly appreciated.   Click below for more information:

On occasion, medical assistance is provided to those individuals who could not otherwise afford to care for their pets.  All funding for Save-A-Life programs comes from donations and fund raising activities.
